Solve Your Storage Problems with a Tension Fabric Structure

Commercial & Municipal

Dry storage for commodities is a job Thundura structures ace with flying colors. Need to dump a tri-axle dump truck inside or get enough width for an oversized rig you’d like to store there? No problem. Massive headroom potential, combined with your choice of width and length means you can design your storage solution dream.

Taking a fraction of the time and cost to install as a permanent building option, the fabric structure also offers the flexibility of being relocated with minimal land disturbance. That’s huge. It can serve you for years in the same spot as a permanent building or be repurposed as your needs grow!

Choose the best options for your solution

Thundura Peak style building with garage doors

Styles

Arched hoop style buildings are the historical staple of the market. We have designed a peaked option that is beginning to pick up steam for some applications. Much of the choice is aesthetical–what look do you prefer? Peaked buildings with their straight vertical sidewalls, offer a different type of “headroom” for applications that require it.

Thundura building with a Big Boy Block Foundation

Foundations

Many of our clients have discovered the economy of using the large preformed concrete blocks available from many concrete companies. Others prefer concrete highway wall dividers. Poured concrete subwalls create a strong, uniform look. Another great option, especially for livestock, is a pole or metal pillar framework which allows for curtained ventilation.

End Walls

End walls are a great idea to get the most protection for your assets. What style are you looking for? Fabric ends are cost-efficient and attractive. They are recommended for ends where there are two or fewer openings. Framing with sheet metal or wood sheeting/planking works great too, giving you the option of matching your fabric structure to your existing buildings. As you plan, also think about the light and ventilation options you may want in your end walls.

Sizes

Lengths are standard in 12 ft increments, but 10 ft increments are an option, or length can be customized to fit.

The width depends on needs, with 27-, 30-, 32-, 36-, 40-, 42-, 50-, 52-, 60- and 65-foot widths being common choices. As width increases, height tends to increase as well.

Height is scalable within reason. Consider headroom needs for ventilation or clearance of equipment (dump trucks, elevators, etc.)

Color It Your Way

Your fabric structure can be colorized to your taste! Choose colors that blend well with your structure’s location, and don’t forget to coordinate the end wall materials with the fabrics for the roof, sidewalls, and trim.

thundura hoop building with UV protection for crops and equipment

UV Protection

Hay, straw, and other feeds experience accelerated degradation if exposed to UV rays. If this is a concern, choose any color from our palette except white. Equipment also may benefit from this UV protection.

Thundura White Fabric Hoop building with custom logo imprinted on end wall

Custom Imprinting

Leverage your brand! Would you like your logo to appear on your new fabric structure? Or perhaps you’d like some custom lettering or a design? You can! Submit artwork to us in the proper format and we’ll submit it to our fabric manufacturer. You will receive a proof to ensure that the imprint is looking good.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q:How long will a fabric structure last?
A:

The lifespan of fabric structures can vary based on several factors, including environmental conditions and maintenance. The structures have two main components: the frame and the cover. The cover component lasts 18-21 years if installed correctly.

In most environments, the frame will easily last two or three times longer than the cover.
